Why I love baking
As a child, I was influenced by my mom's passion to baking. I grew up smelling exceptional fresh homemade baking everyday. She was the queen of cooking and desserts in our family as everyone used to gather around her meals. Building up these images and memories, I pursued my higher education holding a BFA in Graphic Design from the Academie Libanaise des Beaux Arts “ALBA” and a Master degree in Media with Emphasis in Advertising from Notre Dame University “NDU”. After 10 years of professional experience as a senior digital art director, I fell in love with baking. It all began 5 years ago where I had the curiosity to try some basic desserts. Soon after, this curiosity became more of a challenge to create more complicated ones, which were successful every time. Gourmet baking became intrinsic to my existence. My passion to baking has always been my source of creativity and key to successful creations as I try to add my touch by either revisiting desserts visually or by introducing a combination of new flavours…
My passion to baking became more prominent; I started building my library of books and videos of top French pastry chefs to name a few: Alain Ducasse, Pierre Hermé, Christophe Michalak among many others… I attended several Master classes, one of them was with the Meilleur Ouvrier de France Jean-Michel Perruchon and another with an Italian 3D characters artist ‘Barbara Regini’. In October 2016, Passionnée came to life with the slogan Gourmandises Artisanales, reflecting my deep passion to this profession. What differentiates me from other home bakers is using only the most premium ingredients like Valrhona Chocolate, Madagascar Vanilla Beans, Italian sugar Paste, Elle et Vire products in addition to doing everything from scratch… Currently my atelier is being operated from my home in Dbayeh assuring highest quality and hygiene standards offering professional pastry to all ages and events…
